With the 10th anniversary of YaDestiny Treasure Chest rapidly approaching, we wanted to take a look back at all that’s happened in the past decade.
2010: Following the devastation left by the monumental earthquake in Haiti, founder Karyne Tinord starts YTC to provide clothing to children in need all over the world.
2012: YTC makes key partnerships with organizations such as the Red Cross as the country is left reeling from Hurricane Sandy. More than 3,000 children are clothed thanks to YTC aid during this period.
2014: The Fit for Fashion program is launched, providing 5 children with the opportunity to be instructed by professionals on a wide range of subjects, from fashion to nutrition.
2018: Children as young as 7 begin volunteering with YTC as members of the news team, covering various events for the charity.
2020: While the unpredictability of this year has made it hard to get too much done, YTC has been hard at work to do as much as possible and make sure the future is even brighter. There is a plethora of exciting news that we can’t wait to share with you regarding the immediate future and beyond.
