When one thinks about “back-to-school” shopping, purchasing notebooks and pencils is usually what comes to mind. What people tend to overlook is how important it is for a child to have good clothing for the school year. One thing that accompanies the beginning of the school year is cooler weather; so, it is important for students to have the appropriate attire to make it to school safely. Not having warm clothing to wear can prevent an underprivileged child from being able to go to school during the cold winter months that make up a majority of the school year. Even if a child were to venture out into the cold in the clothing that they have, the risk of getting sick may prevent future journeys. This winter, help a child overcome this barrier by donating a winter coat!
