While COVID-19 dwells on the minds of citizens across the world, another disaster has struck the American Deep South. Hurricane Laura made landfall in Louisiana on August 29th and left a monumental trail of destruction behind it. According to the Louisiana Department of Health, 19 people have been found dead due to hurricane related causes so far. This comes with hundreds of thousands more without power or water. With people being forced out of their homes due to property damage, there is an increased need for donations to aid the area’s recovery.
Yadestiny Treasure Chest was founded to provide assistance in the aftermath of the devastating 2010 earthquake in Haiti. In the decade that followed, we have provided aid to many different areas. Yet again YTC will be overjoyed to provide whatever relief we can to those in need in the areas most affected. To help with Hurricane Laura and other needs around the world, a donation can be made to YTC here. We also encourage looking into our many volunteer opportunities to find out how you can get involved in helping your community.
