A parent’s goal is to ensure that their child grows up to be a strong, independent person. To ensure that your child will be able to support themselves in the future, it is important to let them begin making decisions now. Even a decision as simple as what outfit they want to wear for the day can be a good way to build your child’s independence. Through picking out an outfit for the day, children are able to express their creativity in combination with their logical reasoning skills. They can begin to learn what outfits are appropriate for different events and climates. The freedom to pick out their own outfits can even make children more excited about their daily routines. Incorporating small things like this into your child’s daily routine can make getting ready more enjoyable, while also making sure good habits are being formed!
